I want to give a special thank you to our amazing judges this year.

Rob Macy
Rob is a professional musician who offers twenty years experience in writing and performing, most notably with the band “Pinnacle”, performing on stages all over, including Warped Tour 2014 and 2015. Rob is also an accomplished audio engineer both for studio and live sound. Boasts another fifteen years of experience in instructing students of varying levels and is teaching at The Real School of Music in Andover Mass. Rob is currently the Music Director and drummer for the Billy Joel tribute band, “Scenes”.

Liz Mish
Liz was a DJ at her university’s FM radio station, WSBU “The Buzz”, back when the technology of the time consisted of 2 turntables and a cartridge machine. Later, while living in Manhattan, she attended a wide range of music events from classical concerts at Lincoln Center to the alternative music scene at CBGB’s (Country, Bluegrass and Blues). After moving to Boston the live music journey continued at such venues as the Paradise Rock Club, the Palladium and more recently at the MGM Music Hall.

Gina McKeown
Gina is the owner and head instructor at Newburyport Music Company and co-founder of the Greater Newburyport Children’s Chorus including the High School Ensemble, ‘Great Port Sound’. With a Master’s in Music and a passion for piano, voice, and ukulele, she’s taught and mentored hundreds of young musicians — including vocalists who’ve gone on to compete for The Voice! She has also served as the music director for numerous musicals, including Into the Woods at Newburyport High this past spring, and you may have caught her in the orchestra pit at the Firehouse or other local venues. Award-winning, high-energy, and totally tuned in — Gina knows how to spot a star. Bands, bring the heat!
