We are pleased to announce the 1st Annual Yankee Homecoming Waterfront Volleyball Tournament!

Registration is now open for both our Competitive and Recreational divisions (see below).

We are excited to announce this year’s tournament will take place on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Newburyport Waterfront behind Sea Level Oyster Bar (1 Market Square). Get your Coed 4’s crew together and come bump, set, and spike on the waterfront! Check-in and warm-up begin at 8:00 AM (coaches’ meeting at 8:30), and play officially starts at 9:00 AM.

Teams can register below for $200 per team (that’s just $50 per player!) and will include:

• Entry for 1 Coed 4’s team (minimum 2 females on the court, players must be 17+ to compete).
• Eligibility for division prizes and volleyball swag.

We plan to use a Pool-to-Bracket format to ensure every team gets plenty of playtime (ultimately dependent on the number of teams that register). Teams will each play round-robin games in their initial pools. At the conclusion of pool play, teams will be sorted by record into their final divisions: the Competitive (AA/A) Division or the Recreational (BB/B) Division for a double-elimination consolation tournament. Cash prizes of $400 for 1st place and $200 for 2nd place will be awarded in the Competitive division, while the Recreational division will compete for awesome Volleyball Swag!

Admission to this event will be limited to the first 16 teams that register.  Registration deadline is July 20, 2026.

🏐 Coed 4’s Grass Volleyball Rules

Indoor volleyball rules apply with the following exceptions:

• No open-hand tipping
• Everyone is considered a front-row player and may attack at any time
• No rotational positioning requirements (“out of rotation” does not exist)
• Serving order must be maintained throughout the match
