WATERFRONT MORNING WORKOUT SERIES

The Waterfront Morning Workout Series is a sponsored event by Anna Jaques Hospital that is free to the public.  This year we are hoping to offer our most diversified class schedule yet, and get the community of all ages outside and moving.  Start each day of Yankee Homecoming off right by meeting down on the waterfront to get some physical activity

Sunday July 28th 6:00AM – Hot Asana
Power Yoga – This yoga flow is for all levels! Instructors will pair the flow with their unique beat and rhythm, which will change throughout the week! Please bring a yoga mat, H20 and an open mind and heart.

Sunday July 28th 8:00AM –NBPT Aikido
Newburyport Aikido welcomes individuals and families of all ages and abilities to a refreshing and challenging 45-minute morning workout. Aikido is a martial art requiring flexibility and relaxation of body and mind. We will start with head-to-toe stretching and breathing and focus exercises to empty our minds. Then we will do some weapons exercises – with wooden swords that we provide – and try some empty hand techniques. No experience necessary. Try something new, try Aikido. Bring your energy, your own water, and something to work out on. See you down by the river!

Sunday July 28th 9:15 AM – THE MOM COMM
Family Bootcamp- Fitness and fun for the whole family to keep you moving, sweating and laughing together. All ages are welcome. Bring your own mats and water

Monday July 29th 6:00AM – Riverside Yoga
Yinyasa Yoga – A fun all-levels vinyasa class! This class will focus on linking movement with breath as we move through sun salutations and flow through different yoga postures. Modifications will be offered. Please bring a yoga mat and water with you.

Monday July 29th 8:00 AM Hot Asana

Monday July 29th 9:15 AM The Mom Comm
Mommy & Me Stroller – A full-body workout using your stroller! We will combine strength, cardio, and core together with your babe in tow! Little ones can stay in the stroller during class; older kids are welcome to come out and participate with us (we understand they get antsy!). Bring your own toys, snacks, and entertainment for them! Please bring your own mat and water. Prenatal + postnatal modifications will be provided. All fitness levels are welcome. Feel free to stay after and mingle with other moms and families.

Tuesday July 30th 6:00AM – Club Pilates
Energizing Pilates Flow – Come start the day with mat Pilates!  At Club Pilates, we believe that Pilates is for every type of body.  All levels are welcome.  Expect exercise using body weight focused on strengthening and toning.  We will incorporate modifications and progressions throughout the workout so all levels can enjoy.  Bring your own mat.

Tuesday July 30th  8:00 AM – FUEL
Mini Band Workout –  Please join Fuel for a 45 minute mini band workout incorporating core, cardio and strength exercises. All levels of fitness are welcome including beginners.  The addition of resistance bands adds variety and challenge to the workout that you won;t want to miss.  If you’re interested in joining, make sure to bring a yoga mat and water for comfort and hydration during the session.  We are excited to have events like this that encourage community engagement in fitness and promoting overall wellness.  Cant wait to see you there.

Wednesday July 31st 6:00AM Kin Fitness
Bootcamp -All the classic cardio, strength, core exercises you know mixed into the perfect combo to keep you on your toes – always challenging, always fun! Exercises will be modified for different fitness levels as needed.  Please bring water and a Yoga mat (if you have/want one)!

Wednesday July 31st 8:00 AM  YMCA of the Northshore
Strictly Strength – Simply Strength is a small group strength training class utilizing free weights, body weight and resistance bands.  This program allows for more one on one attention and more personalized exercises tailored to each participant.

Wednesday July 31st 9:15 AM – Kin Fitness
Family Bootcamp – A fun-filled class of sports drills, body weight movements, fun games and interval training.  A whole-body workout for the whole family! Exercises will be modified for different ages and fitness levels.  Please bring water and yoga mats (if you have/want them) ages 3 years+ with caregiver.

Thursday August 1st 6:00AM – Kin Fitness
Cardio – Focus on your heart health, stamina, and endurance with high intensity interval training – quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short active recovery periods, paired with low intensity movements performed for a moderate amount of time. A great way to get your heart pumping!  Please bring water and a Yoga mat (if you have/want one)!

Thursday August 1st 8:00 AM Pure Barre
A full body, barre-based workout. The 50 minute class features low-impact movements that focus on tightening and toning your core, glutes and arms. Please bring a mat, water bottle and a set of light hand wights if you have them!

Thursday August 1st 9:15 AM –Kin Fitness
Family Circuit – This family-friendly circuit training class will have you and your child moving through a series of stations focused on cardio and strength.  From slam balls to agility ladders, exercises at each station will be modified for ages and fitness levels and will always be fun!  Please bring water and yoga mats (if you have/want them).  Ages 8 years + with caregiver.

Friday August 2nd 6:00AM – Align Step and Strength
Power Vinyasa FLow – A 45 minute energizing breath to movement vinyasa yoga class, with posture and alignment guidance. You can expect core work, balance challenges, and a dynamic flow. Designed to increase strength, flexibility, and mind-body awareness. Beginners and all levels welcome. BYOM: Make sure to bring your mat and some water!

Friday August 2nd 8:00 AMYWCA of Greater Newburyport
Barre Fusion – Bring along your own mat and join us for this multi-level class incorporating exercise from different workout styles including barre, yoga, strength, training and Pilates with a deep focus on the core and emphasis on moves that will tone strength and elongate muscles.

Friday August 2nd 9:15 AM – YMCA of the Northshore
Fit for Life – This class is designed for anyone looking for a gentle approach to fitness.  By incorporating low impact cardio movements and light strength training, we’ll work together to improve your balance and mobility, all while increasing your overall strength.

Saturday August 3rd 6:00AM Hot Asana

Saturday August 3rd 8:00 AMAlign Step & Strength
Abs, Booty + Flow – A 45 minute strength and yoga flow class.  The first 25 minutes will be focused on your lower body and core, where you’ll use bands and your own body weight to burn out your muscles.  The final 20 minutes will include a vinyasa yoga flow into restorative postures and stretch  BYOM: Make sure to bring your mat and some water!

Saturday August 3rd 9:15 AM  Pure Barre

Pilates Fusion – Improve strength, mobility & work every muscle in Pilates Fusion. This powerful musically driven class has a Pilates foundation + incorporates cardio, props and resistance exercises. You’ll get all of this in just ONE class, maximizing your workout – and your time.
