*Greek Food Festival – July 28th – 30th
Location – Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 7 Harris Street Newburyport – Rain or Shine!
11:30 am – 8:00 pm, Live Greek music by Opa Entertainment from 4:00 – 8:00pm on both Friday and Saturday
Enjoy gyros, lamb shanks, moussaka, chicken and lamb kabobs, locanico (Greek sausage), keftethes (meatballs), spinach pie, pastichio, Greek salad, stuffed grape leaves, fish “plaki” (Friday only), Greek Kafenio (Authentic Greek-style coffee), and our delicious Greek pastries.

*Immaculate Conception Parish Berry Festival, Sunday July 30th noon – 4pm
Location corner of High and Green Streets – across from the Mall.  Rain or shine Event.
Homemade biscuits, locally picked berries and real whipped cream.  Costs $5.00 each, bottles of water $1.00 each

*Newburyport Lions Club 58th Annual Road Race Tuesday August 1st 6:00pm at Newburyport High School 241 High Street. Race headquarters, registration, number pick up and information will be on the front lawn of Newburyport High School.   Thousands of runners will enjoy a beautiful summer evening running the 5K and 10 mile courses thru our historic downtown and along our coastline.  Come cheer the runners on while taking in all the historic coastal city Newburyport has to offer.  Register at https://yankeeraces.com/

*Newburyport Exchange Club Kids Day in the Park Wednesday August 2nd 10am – 2pm Atkinson Common Park, High Street. This Free event starts with a parade for decorated bikes and doll carriages, with prizes for the best one!  After that kids can get their faces painted, experience Theater in the Open, relax with a story organized by Newburyport Library, participate in a sing-along, and watch a police department K9 demonstration.  There will also be free food and drinks available starting at noon.  Please stop by and enjoy the fun!

*NorthShore Swing Dance and Compaq Big band Wednesday August 2nd 6:30 – 9:30 Newburyport City Hall.
6:30-7:30pm will be free swing dance lessons and Compaq Big Band will be playing from 7:30 – 9:30pm

*Rotary Club of Newburyport – Beer and Bites, Thursday August 3rd 5:30 – 7:30pm, Tanner Marketplace.  Join us at the bed races for pizza, beer, Rosita’s Cocina, Kona Ice and Riverwalk Brewing

*Lions Club Annual Bed Race Thursday August 3rd 6:00 pm (bed check in 5:00pm), Raindate Friday August 4th Federal Street.  The Newburyport Lions Club Annual Bedrace, a fundraiser for the Newburyport Lions Club charities.  Fee $40.00 per team. Teams are 4 runners with 1 person in the bed.  Others may run alongside the bed.  Costumes are encouraged.  Pre-registrations is required.  Register online HERE.  All beds are invited to participate in the Yankee Homecoming Parade!  Must be 18 or older to participate
