As we eagerly approach the 2024 Yankee Homecoming, we are filled with immense gratitude and pride for the incredible volunteers who make this beloved tradition possible. For nine days, Newburyport will come alive with a vibrant array of free activities and entertainment, bringing joy and excitement to our community and visitors alike. This joyous celebration, running from July 27th to August 4th, would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of our volunteers.
Yankee Homecoming is a testament to the strength and spirit of our community. It’s an event organized entirely by volunteers—people who generously give their time, energy, and hearts to create a week filled with cherished memories and fun. From the early morning workout series by the waterfront to the dazzling fireworks display, every moment of Yankee Homecoming is brought to life by these selfless individuals.
Our volunteers work tirelessly for months, planning and organizing a wide range of events, securing sponsors, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. They are the backbone of Yankee Homecoming, filling countless roles and taking on various responsibilities to ensure we all have an unforgettable experience. Whether it’s coordinating the High School Battle of the Bands, setting up the Craft Show, or guiding Heritage Tours, our volunteers pour their passion and dedication into every task.
We want to take this moment to express our deepest gratitude to each and every volunteer. Your hard work and commitment do not go unnoticed. It is through your generous hearts that Yankee Homecoming continues to be a beacon of joy, heritage, and community spirit. Your efforts create a week where we can all come together to celebrate our town’s rich history, enjoy fun-filled activities, and make lasting memories.
