Parade Float Information
We are excited to have you participate in this year’s YH Parade! All floats must arrive beginning at 9:30 am on the day of the event. Please arrive at the Port Plaza parking lot in front of Port Pizza. You will receive more information as we get closer to the event. Feel free to email [email protected] anytime!
Judging will for floats begins at 11 am!
“BEST FLOAT” AWARD!
Each year, 3 winners are selected from all of the floats (businesses and nonprofits). Winners are judged during the parade lineup and presented with a trophy and sign to put on their float. Floats that represent the theme will receive higher marks. Not only do you get bragging rights, but the winners are presented with the following:
1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $300
3rd Place: 100
Non Profits Only
$200 for the first 10 non-profit organizations that submit an application and are approved for Parade participation. This money can be used to offset the organization’s cost for decorating and participation in the parade!
By submitting an application below, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of participation:
No provocative floats that could be deemed offensive to any group.
All Floats must be decorated, have signage and be pulled behind a vehicle.
All Floats must participate in the full parade from the start to the finish at State Street.
