Plum Island Airport Newbury

Thank you to everyone that came out to remember our fallen hero’s as well as to give thanks to all of our veterans.

The Moving Wall is a half sized replica of the Washington DC Vietnam Veterans Memorial measuring 252.83 feet long and composed of 74 separate frames. As of January 1, 2012 there are 58,272 names listed on the memorial. Approximately 1300 of these are still unaccounted for prisoners of war (POWs) and missing in action (MIA)

For those of you that were not able to attend The Moving Wall for themselves and for those that want to help keep the memory of all 58,272 fallen hero’s alive please enjoy the below photographs taken by Michael Kent, Lani Shumway, Bob Watts, Crystal Snow, Joanie Frechette Desilets, Larry’s Drive by Pictures and Tony Attardo.

The Moving Wall committee would like to extend our deepest and heartfelt appreciation to all those that have sponsored and donated to this historic event
