The Moving Wall

September 2nd – 6th
Plum Island Airport Newbury

Yankee Homecoming Board of Directors is honored to be able to bring The Moving Wall to our area September 2nd – 6th.   The Moving Wall is a half sized replica of the Washington DC Vietnam Veterans Memorial measuring 252.83 feet long and composed of 74 separate frames.  As of January 1, 2012 there are 58,272 names listed on the memorial.  Approximately 1300 of these are still unaccounted for prisoners of war (POWs) and missing in action (MIA)

Thank you to NEMLAC, Amesbury and Newbury Police and Patriot Riders for escorting The Moving Wall to its temporary home at Plum Island Airport.

We are fortunate to have so many local talented photographers who helped capture the many heartfelt moments found at The Moving Wall.   It is our hope that the images captured will help honor the 58,272 fallen hero’s who’s names are forever etched on The Moving Wall and in our hearts. I have captures some of these images on our Moving Wall Gallery

The Moving Wall committee would like to extend our deepest and heartfelt appreciation to all those that have sponsored and donated to this historic event
