YANKEE HOMECOMING WATERFRONT MORNING WORKOUT SERIES

 

Join us each morning for a fun filled exercise class that will be sure to get you moving for the day.  Classes will be held on the Waterfront Stage.

Classes are held Sunday -Saturday of Yankee Homecoming at 6:30 am, 8:00 am , and 9:15 am.  If your studio is interested in participating in our 2019 event please complete the form below.

Sunday July 28th  8:00 – 9:00 am-Ruff House Fitness
Strength Bootcamp is a strength training class that incorporates the use of a variety of weighted equipment to strengthen and tone your entire body. The class is mainly strength focus, but will include elements of agility and cardio training as well. All you need to bring are sneakers and water – equipment and an energetic instructor will be provided. This workout is guaranteed to leave you feeling stronger than when you arrived!

 

Sunday July 28th 9:15-10:15am – Pure Barre
Pure Barre is a full-body workout that tones your thighs, seat, arms and abs. The 50 minute workout uses a resistance band, ball and your own body weight to create long lean muscles.   Our innovative technique is fueled by community support.  Burn fat, make friends, have fun!

Monday July 29th 6:30 – 7:30 am Motivate Barre Cardio Cycle – Circuit Sculpt
With the energy and sweat level of our core & cardio class and the mindfulness of our barre classes, Motivate Circuit Sculpt utilizes functional movement with resistance. It’s fast paced, without losing sight of our body alignment principles.  Exercises are done in rapid succession with a break between circuits. Every exercise has the potential to be challenged or modified. Those with joint issues or injuries can modify class while still reaping the benefits.  Circuits can sometimes be timed, sometimes be driven in a flow fashion while utilizing the tempo of a song. We like to keep you guessing!  Be prepared to squat it like it’s hot!

Monday July 29th 8:00 – 9:00 am – YMCA of the Northshore – Cardio/strength fusion
Cardio/strength fusion combines intervals of resistance training followed by a progression of cardiovascular drills. Weights will be provided. Please bring a friend, mat and plenty of enthusiasm!

Monday July 29th 9:15 – 10:15 am – Fuel Training Studio – Tabata Training
Addicted to sweat, then your going to want to take this class! Tabata Timed Training combines muscle strengthening, flexibility, core work centered on the abdominal region, and quick bursts of high intensity cardio exercise. This class is based on a variety of different timed exercises followed by a specific amount of timed rest.  An example of this would be 8 rounds of 20 seconds of work with 10 seconds of rest. This particular way of working out requires a longer time for the body to come back to a normal state.  This means that the body will keep burning extra calories up to 38 hours after you return to a post exercise resting state. You are going to LOVE this workout!

Tuesday – July 30th 6:30 – 7:30 am – Fitness Works – Workout Medley of Mobility, Kickboxing & Core
20 minute sets of three different workout styles. Come try a medley of all of our offerings. The class will begin with mobility work based on the principles of Chain Reaction Biomechanics. Next, turn up your heart rate with mixed martial arts choreographed to music. Finally, moving onto strengthening and conditioning for total body and core, where we will focus on moving efficiently and efficiently in all 3 plans of motion.

Tuesday  – July 30th 8:00 – 9:00 am – YWCA Greater Newburyport – Barre/Yoga
Barre/Yoga combines the basic principles of Barre and Yoga into a flow that is suitable for all fitness levels. This class will focus on targeting the small muscle groups to strengthen and tone the legs and butt along with a steady flow of yoga to awaken your chakras. Please bring your own mat and towel. Looking forward to seeing you all in celebration of Yankee Homecoming 2019.

Tuesday – July 30th 9:15 – 10:15 – Riverside Yoga and Massage – All Levels Flow
This energizing Vinyasa Flow style yoga class will focus on alignment and breath with. Modifications for postures will be offered to make this class appropriate for all levels of Yogis from beginners to more advanced students.

Wednesday July 31st 6:30 – 7:30 am

Wednesday July 31st 8:00 – 9:00 am – Metafit USA
Metafit is a 30 minute, body weight only, non choreographed, high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout. Metafit combines the latest HIIT training techniques with traditional old school body weight exercises to set the metabolism on fire!

Thursday August 1st 6:30 am -7:30 am

Thursday August 2nd – Boston Sports Club Salisbury 8:00 – 9:00 am – Boot Camp!
The most realistic military style training there is for civilians honoring our brave men and women who are fighting for our freedom every day.  A combination of muscle conditioning using various equipment and body weight, and cardio with HIIT Training (high intensity interval training) to get your heart pumping for a total workout.  All ages and all levels will be able to participate as the challenges are modifiable.  There is only one rule, “you can’t quit” (soldiers never quit !).

Thursday August 1st 9:15 – 10:15 am – The Cure Studios – Buti Yoga
Buti Yoga is a soulful blend of power yoga, cardio-intensive tribal dance, conditioning and deep abdominal activation. This all-in-one primal practice increases body awareness while facilitating complete inner transformation.​

Friday August 2nd 6:30 – 7:30am – Ruff House Fitness

Friday August 2nd 8:00 -9:00 am Motivate Barre Cardio Cycle – Baby & Barre
Life gets busy with baby. It is easy to lose yourself. Give yourself back some time while Motivating with Baby. In our Motivate Barre with Baby class, you will be challenged while workign on getting your body back safely. The movements are safe, small and controlled. There is less pressure on your spine, joints, ligaments and tendons in Motivate Barre with Baby classes. Using proper instructor led form, your core is engaged throughout class thereby iproving the posture you might hve lost whil ecarrying baby. Motivate Barre with Baby also builds bone density. Motivate Barre with Baby is enjoyable. You get to spend time with your newest cherub, wor on your health and well-being… all while making new friends. Babies become part of the class during certain exercises.

Friday August 2nd Boston Sports Club Salisbury 9:15-10:15am – POUND

Our outdoor workout will be one you won’t forget. Our professional coaches will guide you through a full body, high intensity conditioning workout. Expect to use your whole body and get a good sweat on with a fun group of people!
