WATERFRONT MORNING WORKOUT SERIES
Yankee Homecoming is proud to partner with Anna Jaques Hospital once again for our Waterfront Morning Workout Series
Due to COVID-19 we are scaling back our workouts to only include Newburyport businesses. Note registration is required for all classes, no drop in’s will be allowed. Social distancing is also required during all workouts. Masks must be worn to the class and can be taken off only when you are set up in your location. Please bring your own mat, towel and water to these classes.

Monday July 27th 6:00 am Repose Yoga
This flow class is both playful and challenging with an emphasis on synchronizing movement with the breath. Taryn combines poses for strength and flexibility, challenging students physically while offering soft moments of reflection. Start off your day and your week balancing work and play, discipline and expression, and strength and softness.
Tuesday July 28th 7:15 am Fuel
Tabata timed training method combines muscle strengthening, flexibility, core work centered on the abdominal region, and quick bursts of high intensity cardio exercise. Tabata is a type of high intensity interval training that takes 4 minutes to complete. It is comprised of 8 rounds of 20 seconds of intense training and 10 seconds of rest. This particular way of training requires a longer time for the body to come back to a normal state, meaning that the body will keep burning extra calories up to 38 hours after you return to a post-exercise resting state! “You can do anything for 20 second”- Fuel Training Studio. A mask worn is required when entering and exiting your 12 foot workout area.

Thursday July 30th 8:00 am Pure Barre
Pure Barre Newburyport offers a full-body workout that uses a ballet barre, your own body weight and resistance bands to create long lean muscles. Our outdoor classes simulate the in-studio workout — without the ballet barre — we promise you will feel the burn in your muscles for days! We use small movements and a low-impact technique to target your arms, thighs, abs and our favorite — the “seat!”
Sunday August 2nd 8:00 am YWCA of Greater Newburyport
Barre/Pilates class. The description is as follows this class will focus on incorporating the basic moves of bar and Pilates with a full body workout focusing on core legs and glutes. Modifications will be provided and this is suitable for all fitness levels. Please bring your own mat and light weights.
As part of our Yankee Homecoming Gives Back theme we are raffling off (3) 1 month memberships. To be included simply register and show up for class. All names will be collected at the end of the week and we will randomly draw 3 winners. The winners will be able to choose from the list of participating gyms/studios. There are no limits to the number of classes you can attend. The more classes you are able to participate in the better your chances of winning.
